# Indian Server Routing

Specifically for our customers in the Indian market, Movoice AI offers specialized **Indian Server Routing** to ensure the lowest possible latency and highest call quality for domestic operations.

## Why it Matters

When a call is made within India, routing the audio data out to US or European servers and back can add 200-500ms of latency. This makes the conversation feel disjointed.

## Benefits of Local Routing

1. **Low Latency**: By keeping data packets within Indian data centers (Mumbai/Delhi/Chennai), we achieve near-instant response times for Indian callers.
2. **Carrier Stability**: Direct connections with Indian carriers (Jio, Airtel, Vi) via Exotel ensure fewer dropped calls and better audio clarity.
3. **Compliance**: Keeps PII (Personally Identifiable Information) resident within Indian borders, complying with local data protection policies.

## Enabling Local Routing

This feature is typically enabled by default for organizations using our **Exotel** integration. For Enterprise customers using custom SIP trunks, local routing can be configured in your **Organization Settings**.

## Performance Monitoring

You can verify your current routing path in the **Engine Tab** or by checking the "Hop Latency" metrics in your call logs.
