Telephony setup

Before your agent can make or receive phone calls, you must connect a telephony provider. Movoice AI supports a “Bring Your Own Carrier” (BYOC) model.

Supported Providers

We recommend the following for their reliability and ease of integration:
  • Twilio: Best for global deployments and developers who already have Twilio infrastructure.
  • Exotel: The preferred choice for businesses operating extensively in India and Southeast Asia.

General Setup Steps

1. Create an Account

If you don’t already have one, create an account with Twilio or Exotel.

2. Retrieve Credentials

You will need your:
  • Account SID (or API Key)
  • Auth Token (or API Token)

3. Connect in Movoice AI

  • Go to Settings > Connect Providers.
  • Select your provider and enter your credentials.
  • Click Validate Connection.

4. Configure Your Dashboard

Once connected, your Movoice dashboard will be able to list your available phone numbers and assign them to specific AI agents.
