To communicate with the world, your agent needs a phone number. You can purchase and manage numbers directly through your connected Telephony Providers.How to Buy a Number (Self-Serve)
1. Identify Your Target Region
Decide if you need a Local, Toll-Free, or Mobile number.- Local: Best for building trust in a specific city/region.
- Toll-Free (e.g., 1-800): Best for national customer support.
2. Purchase via Carrier Dash
- Twilio: Go to Develop > Phone Numbers > Buy a Number. Look for numbers that specifically support “Voice.”
- Exotel: Contact Exotel support or use their dashboard to Provision a virtual number.
3. Verification & Regulatory Docs
In many countries (including India, Germany, and Singapore), you may need to provide business documentation (Address proof, ID) before a number can be activated. This is a carrier requirement, not a Movoice AI requirement.Assigning Numbers to Agents
Once a number is active in your carrier account:- Navigate to the Agent Studio in Movoice.
- Open the Call Tab or Inbound Tab.
- Select your number from the dropdown list.
- Save your changes.
